FREQUENCY OF MASSAGE GUIDELINES

For Relaxation & Maintenance

Booking a monthly massage is recommended for maintenance, ideally every 3-5 weeks. If you are good about muscle recovery at home or by other means of treatment you may only need massage from time to time every couple of months or quarterly. Your body will let you know.

For Pain Relief & Ongoing Stressors

The only rule is to give your body 3 days in-between sessions to recover from any after massage soreness you may feel especially if you are new to massage. Weekly or every two weeks is encouraged for at least for 3 sessions consecutively or until the discomfort has subsided. If you are still in discomfort or lacking proper range of motion and you wait a month (3-5 weeks) to receive your next session you will in essence, be starting over. The work on soft tissue that is chronically in tension requires multiple sessions to unwind. Then monthly for maintenance. The more exercise, muscle recovery, and movement you do outside of your massages the less you will need us!
